South Caucasus Regional Water Management Program (SCRWM) is a five-year program funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to support effective transboundary water cooperation and dialogue between the South Caucasus countries and improve water security and water resource management.
SCRWM is pleased to announce Request for Applications (RFA) on Regional Assessment of Role/Potential of Water Users Associations from eligible organizations to assess the current situation of Water User Associations (WUA) in South Caucasus (SC) countries, define lessons learned and best practices, and provide recommendations on how to establish and/or strengthen WUAs in all three SC countries, improve their relationships with irrigation agencies, and foster them as capable decentralized water management entities.

USAID launched the Armenia Improved Water Management Program to refine Armenia’s
approach to water management and protection of freshwater resources. The Program is
funded by USAID and implemented by Deloitte Consulting LLP as the prime contractor and
sub-contracted by the Urban Foundation for Sustainable Development (UFSD), University of Colorado Boulder, and Regional Environmental Center for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus).
The Program has the following objectives: application of advanced technologies and tools, improved water governance, promoting and scaling best practices and innovative approaches, regional cooperation with neighboring countries, and improved access to water.
